Of course most of the answer in pursing excellence is preparation, hard work, asking questions, learning from mistakes, taking measured risks, surrounding yourself with the right environment, proper recovery, and sometimes we need more. Trevor’s work is focused adding to that equation, strengthening from the inside out by applying clinical and performance principles to individuals in high-performance settings.

Please note, Trevor’s work also includes serving individuals aged 16-45 seeking general individual therapy.

Striving for Excellence in Any Area of Life Often Comes with a Couple Dilemmas:

1.     What helped you achieve initial success, may not keep you there.

2.     How do you maintain success in pressure-laden environments, without it costing your health, mood, sleep, or relationships?

Here are some core principles Trevor works from to address the dilemmas:

  • Learn and practice how to talk to the self rather then just listen to the self

  • Work to develop insight into your past and present experiences in order to first, understand the why, what, and how; and second, to shape strategies, tools, interventions that are unique to your experience

  • Learn how your body and mind operate under high stress and understand why we do not want your response to completely change, but rather want to change your relationship to it. Negative thoughts and emotions are not inherently problematic

  • Move from positive self-talk to productive self-talk

  • Practice leaning into discomfort rather than spending time trying to avoid it
